Yesterday the Husband ran his first race! And survived! Of course I took pictures.

He did unbelievably well and I am very proud that asthma boy ran 3.5 miles and survived to tell the tale.

Stats:

• 5th place in his division (30-34 year-olds)
• 37th out of all 145 racers
• He completed the race in 29 minutes and 23 seconds. That’s about an 8:24(ish) mile. That is crazy.

Did I mention the boy had asthma?

One sister married, one to go.

Shana got married! It was beautiful, she was beautiful, and I think it was probably one of the best weddings I’ve attended and I don’t think I’ve ever quite danced that much. Even at ballroom competitions!

Now I have a brother. I’ve always wanted a brother. Someone to torment, laugh at, and um…what do you do with a brother? Burn his underwear? Cut his hair while he sleeps? Talk baseball?
I have some photos that were sent to me from Aunt Jane and Uncle Tom and then I few of mine (and my sister’s when I made her use my camera). As I get more, I’ll add a post with new shots.

The Husband has entered a local 3.5 mile race on July 15th. His goal is to run it in 35 minutes, preferably 30. My goal is that he doesn’t have a heart attack (or asthma attack) before he crosses the finish line. Although it would mean I might be on the news…No. I’d rather he survive.

I get to watch him run or at least wait by the side line while he starts and then hang out for (preferably) 30 minutes until he crosses the finish line. Sounds thrilling, no? I’ll bring my camera and get pictures up after the event. Pictures of him smiling at the start, red and winded at the end, sprawled on the ground with EMT’s giving him CPR, the usual. Of course I still haven’t finished the Hawaii photos so I may not get these up until January.

And no, I don’t think he’s going to have a problem. He runs every day and barely even sweats now. He is a freak that way.
